Microneedling

Microneedling is a skin treatment where a device with multiple small needles is moved over the skin. This causes thousands of microtraumas and tiny channels down into the dermis. This triggers the skins healing response and stimulates collagen and elastin. Plus any products placed on the skin during microneedling are forced down the microchannels deep into the dermis.  Polynucleotides are biostimulators and are commonly used during micro-needling. Meaning a double whammy of collagen and elastin stimulation and meaning a double dose for the skin.

At SkinGenius clinic we use the ImedPen.  The latest microneedling device that provides effective treatment while being more comfortable for patients.

The aim of micro-needling is to improve skin texture, lines, pigment and scarring. Treatment can leave the skin smooth, glowing and healthy. While one treatment will achieve results, a course of three or more is advised for optimum results. There must be a gap of at least 3 weeks between treatments.
