Treatments
Muscle tension and stress are really common in those with recurrent headaches. The muscles most commonly affected are: masseter (jaw); temporalis (temples); frontalis and procerus (frowning); occipitalis and paraspinals (neck); and trapezius (lower neck and shoulder). In some people all these muscles are affected, in others it is only a few muscles.

If you are concerned that your headache is caused my tight muscles, the injections used to relax wrinkles can be used to relax the tight muscles.Â
A series of tiny injections are performed into each affected muscle. This helps to relax the muscles, relieve the tension and improve headaches. Improvement occurs over a few weeks to months.
