I’m looking forward to welcoming my first SkinGenius clients back the week beginning 5th July. Covid-19 Lockdown has been long and we’re all ready for some normality back in our lives. And to treat ourselves ♥.
In preparation for reopening I have made a few important changes in the interest of client safety. Guidance issued by the Scottish Government and Healthcare Improvement Scotland, along with the experience I’ve gained working as a GP during the covid pandemic, have shaped these changes. Client safety is my priority.
Infection Control: Clinic rooms will have minimal clutter and all surfaces will be cleaned thoroughly between each client. Client appointments will be spaced out to allow sufficient cleaning time.
PPE: During all appointments I will be wearing appropriate PPE including mask, apron and gloves. I request that clients also wear a mask during appointments and use alcohol hand gel provided prior to entering the clinic please. Masks can be provided if you do not have one of your own.
To minimise unnecessary contact: Client consultations will take place by video whenever possible. To minimise time in the clinic and contact with other clients; clients will be asked to wait in their car or outside of the clinic until their appointment time.
Covid-19 Triage: I will also contact clients 24 hours before their appointments to enquire about any symptoms that may suggest Covid-19 infection and ask that if clients develop any symptoms that they contact me immediately to advise and reschedule their appointment if necessary.
Reduced Treatments: During the initial few weeks I am only allowed to offer low-risk/minimum contact treatments like botox and steroid injections. A full list of treatments should be available in August.
Payments: Payments for treatments and AlumierMD products will be via card or bacs transfer only. No cash please.
Digital Consent: Client information and consent will now be paperless. All documents can be easily read and signed on a tablet in the clinic, which can be thoroughly cleaned between clients.
These changes are to keep clients safe. Some are here to stay but some will change as covid-19 infection rates decrease. We’ll keep you informed as the situation changes. Stay safe but stay beautiful at SkinGenius ♥.
